Based on material from the opera Benvenuto Cellini, Berlioz' brilliant Roman Carnival Overture features a famous solo for the English horn. Saint-Saens' melodic "Organ" Symphony, his best-known work, shows off the superb acoustics of Bass Performance Hall.
