Jeremy Dunck, says:
Emily put on a great show. There was some trouble with the sound for the first half, but the crowd was right there with her. And man, it was packed. I've never seen a coffee house that full. It seemed like a lot of the crowd were old friends from high school or family, but many were otherwise unconnected fans. Emily's starting to work on a second CD, and I'll be watching for it.
She played most of her stuff from Bright Side, a couple new ones (I didn't catch the names) and some gutsy covers-- Patsy/Willie's "Crazy" and a couple from the Beatles. Oh, and a crazy cover of Jackson's Thriller, along with a brave if rough friend trying to dance along on stage. Way to go, Nathan. :-)
This is her last show in town for a while-- here's hoping she's back on another break from Berklee sooner rather than later.
A++, would go again.
