UTD Presents: Dallas Pro Musica

The University of Texas at Dallas School of Arts & Humanities presents a performance by Dallas Pro Musica at 5 p.m. Wed., Jan. 21, in Jonsson Performance Hall. The January installment of the Faculty @ 5 series features faculty members Kathryn Evans, soprano; Mary Medrick, mezzo-soprano; and Hoyt Neal, tenor. The group also includes artists Rebecca Mitchell, alto and sophomore art and performance major from Plano, and Michael Borts, bass. The performance entitled "Birds, Beasts and Bugs," will include works such as The Silver Swan by Orlando Gibbons , Le Chant Des Oyseaux (Song of the Birds) by Clement Janequin and El Grillo (The Cricket) by Josquin DesPrez. . Dallas Pro Musica is dedicated to the re-creation and realization of vocal music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Early Baroque periods, and occasionally pieces from the 20th and 21st centuries. Admission is free.
