Bordeaux Dinner

Fearing's will host a few of modern-day Bordeaux’s most elite and heralded leaders. Daniel Cathiard – Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Patrick Maroteaux – Château Branaire-Ducru, Comte Stephan von Neipperg – Château Canon-La-Gaffelière. Our evening will begin with a tasting of the 2005 and 2006 vintage wines from these famous estates - Smith-Haut-Laffite Blanc 2006 (95 RP), Smith-Haut-Lafitte Rouge 2006 (93 RP), Cantelys 2006, D’Aiguilhe 2005 (92 WS), Canon-La-Gaffelière 2006 (94 RP), Duluc de Branaire-Ducru 2005 and Branaire-Ducru 2005 (95RP).
Following the tasting, guests will enjoy a dinner created to showcase a lineup of Bordeaux at its finest. The following wines will be served with dinner: Smith-Haut-Lafitte Blanc 2000 (90WS), Smith-Haut-Lafitte Rouge 2000 (94 RP), Branaire-Ducru 2003 (95 RP), & 1996 (91 ST), Canon-La-Gaffelière 2000 (95 RP), Château La Mondotte 1999 (94 RP), and Guiraud 2001 (94RP). 2009’s first great wine event will take place at nationally renowned Fearing’s Restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton.
Amuse Bouche: Sweet Onion Tart
First Course: Duo with Two White Wines from Bordeaux, George’s Bank “Scalloped Potatoes” with Virginia Ham, Caramelized Shallot and Parsley Brown Butter; Mesquite Grilled Bob White Quail with Cornbread Pudding and Chanterelle Chasseur
Second Course: Trio with Three Red Wines from Bordeaux South Texas NilGai Antelope with Wild Boar Sausage Choucroute and Truffle Crème Fraiche; Coriander Crusted Lamb Chop Grilled over Live Mesquite with Crisp Sweet Breads, Confit Fennel, and Creamy Pecorino Polenta; Roasted Canadian Duck Breast on Sweet Potato and Foie Gras Puree with Roasted Root Vegetable
