3rd Annual UNT Summer Arts Festival - Student Works
July 3
The students work will include:
- All in the Timing, written by David Ives and student directed by Chris Barr
- Human Nature, student choreography by Kristin Jones
- EMPATHmE, student choreography by Chelsea Kubiak
All In the Timing features selected one-act plays by American playwright Ives. Student directed by Barr, the rendition uses comic relief to compel the audience to think about the issues the characters face and understand the deeper lessons of the plays.
The ability of despair to consume a person to the point that they cannot see anyone or anything but themselves and their problems is the focus of Kubiak’s choreography in EMPATHmE.
Jones’s choreography in Human Nature represents the internal power struggle between right and wrong and the choice humans must make within the struggle.
