, 2009
The Volunteer Center of North Texas (VCNT) hosts the first-ever North Texas Volunteer Challenge (NTVC), on July 11th, from 8am-Noon. The NTVC is a four-hour day of service that brings together hundreds of volunteers to lend a helping hand and make a difference at 30 different nonprofit organizations across North Texas to give communities hope in a changing economy. The NTVC is open to all members of the community: individual volunteers, families, students, corporations, civic groups and more. It will be held at more than 30 selected nonprofit locations throughout the Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin counties.
The funds raised will benefit the VCNT enabling them to expand their service delivery to more than 1,655 nonprofit organizations and array of causes like Children and Youth, Seniors, Health and Wellness, Disaster Relief, Literacy and Education, Animal Support, Environment, Homelessness, Community Enrichment, Employment and Career, Hunger, and Neighborhood Revitalization.
Registration is $15.00 for Adults (18+), and $10.00 for youth/students (12-17). All participants will receive a free NTVC t-shirt, pin and goodie bag as well as a great experience giving back to the communities in which they live, work and serve.
