Fair Park: “Summer Show Tunes,” A Student Broadway Revue

"Summer Show Tunes" is a student revue featuring young people from ages 7 – 18 who study at Dallas Summer Musicals Academy of Performing Arts satellite locations in the Park Cities, Frisco, and Lewisville. The students will be performing songs from Seussical, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, High School Musical II, Grease, Hairspray, and Jersey Boys.
Doug Voet, who portrayed Joseph on Broadway for two different contracts is teaching and performing with all of the DSM students a medley from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for the show’s finale. Tickets are $5 at the door.
Directions to the theatre: Enter Fair Park at Gate 2 Haskell Ave. Take an immediate right, which leads into the park. Take a left on Washington Ave., drive past trains. Take a right on Keating and park in the lot. Walk down Nimitz to Creative Arts Theatre entrance.
