It's actually a set of books, that is now turning into movies. You should be fortunate that your kids aren't old enough to be into it. BLAH!

Oh, let me guess - glamorous outcasts.
Footloose for Vampires?
Is that the one?

To summarize it for you: the author basically took away any weaknesses that vampires actually had, and then removed most of the elements of danger by making half of them vegetarians. Throw in some teenage angst and barely repressed sexual tension, and you've got tweeners squealing left and right.
Oh, and as always, some nutjobs become convinced that all of it is real.

Sun? That is just plain wrong.
Vampires were originally bloated, dark red or purple complexioned things. So now they're 90210 clubbers.
Check please!

Pavel, I'm a little upset that you actually know that much about this subject. I'm hoping you just did a quick Wiki lookup or something.

I live on the internet. It's sort of like working at a stable, and thereby learning a whole lot about horse feces. It's not that you're studying the subject intently, but a little is bound to rub off on you one way or the other.
