Robots, Squids, Zombies and Other Friends
March 7
Daniel studied at San Diego State and received his Bachelor's degree in graphic design. He has used his education to peruse a career in the graphic design industry, focusing on apparel and accessories design. His eye for design layout, typography, patterns, and use of color all find their way into his paintings.
In 2003, Daniel relocated to the Dallas area and has since become an active member in the local artist community. He has participated in several group shows and charities, and has developed friendships with other artists and believes that this comradeship has also helped him diversify and grow his voice. Daniel's time in Dallas has been spent challenging himself stylistically. He has experimented with layering visual imagery- seen in his comic collages and stacked pieces (i.e. "The incredible depths we go").
In "Robots, Squids, Zombies, and other friends", Daniel hopes to further elaborate his perspective, and focus more on his three favorite visual images. His vibrant use of color, tone on tone back drops, comic lettering, and cartoon styled characters are currently Daniel's main focus in the bulk of his art work. showcase his work in his first solo show at Space Gallery
