Distinguished by her gorgeous, incandescent songs and fiercely independent spirit, Sara once said of herself, "I kind of stick myself in the same boat with a Michelle Shocked and Lyle Lovett, in that they're quirky, too. There's not a place for us in the world, so we just keep making music because that's what we love to do."

Hickman is the sweetest person I think I have ever met. Over a decade ago I found myself at an album release party and this warm bright wonderful gal plopped down on the sofa and was just mesmerizing.
I wanna be Sara Hickman when I grow up.

Great show and storytelling to the audience at a cool venue in Grapevine. Politics aside, she is a talented musician and entertainer.... I just want to hear the music...not the politics, but that that's just me)
