To mark the opening of Art and Love in Renaissance Italy, the Kimbell will bring together a panel of scholars engaged in research on themes represented in the exhibition. This engrossing day of lectures will explore the complex and often ambiguous attitudes toward love and marriage in Renaissance Italy and examine a variety of artworks that were produced to celebrate betrothal, marriage, and family.
