Orinoco!
Presented by Teatro Dallas
March 15, 2009
Teatro Dallas presents Orinoco! honoring Mexican playwright Emilio Carballido and directed by Cora Cardona.
This show is a revealing surreal comedy about Mimi and Fifí, two showgirls with aspirations of being great cabaret stars. The play takes place on a ship drifting along Venezuela’s Orinoco River on its way to an oil field. The girls have been hired to “perform” upon reaching their destination and think that this time they will make their dreams come true. In the cabin of this ship, a man rests while recuperating after throwing the crew of the ship into the river. But why?
Purchase tickets online or by calling 214-689-6492.
