When Chand, a Punjabi immigrant, arrives in Ontario, she finds that she’s left her family to join a strange suburban neighborhood and an abusive husband. She meets Rosa, a Jamaican woman who gives her a root to change her husband, but its effects lead Chand down a path between reality and fantasy.
