Mayor Tom Leppert proclaimed Saturday, March 28 Earth Hour Day in Dallas, a worldwide initiative to turn out the lights from 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m (local time). Dallas is one of nine cities in the U.S. where skylines will go dark for one hour as individuals, businesses, government buildings and major landmarks turn off non-essential lighting to raise awareness about energy efficiency and global climate change.
