Tim and Anthony are classmates in Needles, CA that have recently enlisted in the military. We’re introduced to this charismatic twosome as they finish up their senior year in high school, before shipping off to boot camp. Both are surrounded with loving family and friends who may not always agree with their decision, but support them none the less. Their love of country is equally matched by the desire to better their current situation and enlisting provides the most realistic means to that end.
Beautifully interwoven in this story are candid global views of America from Hiroshima to Belgrade.
Regardless of your personal views, Topaz Litman Adizes’ unobtrusive, observational style of filmmaking and use of stunning imagery envelops you and results in a deeply moving experience.
