"Country Soup for the Soul" is the theme for the May 1st Country Strings Concert. It's a hodgepodge mixture of Patsy Cline, George Jones, Merle Haggard, and John Denver combined with foot-tapping bluegrass instrumentals and gospel songs such as "Farther Along," "Mansion Over the Hilltop," and "This World is Not My Home." Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Birdville High School Auditorium.
