How dare you confuse this arguably better Taste with that of Dallas?!

Huh. How sad is it that I have never noticed that before? I wonder what else I am missing!

Im just curious, why cant Taste Of Dallas get decent musical acts to play their event? I'll go for Jack Ingram/Old 97's alone, not to mention that donut place that always sets up a booth and serves corny dogs ;)

Don't know why I always thought it had an "of". Looks like it's Dallas that has "of".
Chris - I don't know if it's an economic issue or not, but I do know that the location for Taste of Dallas would not be very conducive to bigger named acts. Cramming that many people into the West End is a recipe for disaster (excuse the pun).
Even with the moderately increased crowds I noticed at the lame July 4th extravaganza last year, it was a complete cluster .

So, now that I remember, I'm sure economics probably do play a part - Taste of Dallas is a free event, while Addison charges $10 a pop - quite a difference there.

Id rather have people pay for ToD($10-12 bucks) and bring in some decent bands to play. Also, ToD needs to be moved to a place like Fair Park, as they have prime real estate to handle an event of this nature

Have not been to TA for a couple of years. But, what is up with not being able to take in your own chairs? Anyone know the thought process behind that decision? We won't be going this year because of that....Always thought is was the best "Taste" around...

Linda, Its supposed to be more a festival-type setup. I'm guessing its more a liability issue then anything.

You can't bring your own chairs? That's kind of weird.
