More than 2,000 cyclists from across North Texas are gearing up for the sixth annual WildRide! Against Cancer on Saturday, May 16. The bike rally raises more than $100,000 each year for Richardson Regional Cancer Center, an affiliate of UT Southwestern Medical Center and home of the Lance Armstrong Shaped Beam Surgery Program.
Cyclists can choose from 16, 40, or 64 scenic miles that start in Richardson and pass through Plano, Murphy, Wylie, and Garland; across the dam at Lake Lavon; and through Nevada and Josephine. The new 5K Trail Walk is a non-timed fun run/walk that will take place on Spring Creek Trail in Richardson.
WildRide! and the 5K Trail Walk will be held in conjunction with Richardson’s Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival. You may present your rider/walker number for $5 off admission to the festival.
