This course examines the processes by which individuals lead change by initiating and executing successful initiatives in complex human organizations. The emphasis is upon the individual in a leadership role, using classic behaviors of visioning, inspiring, and risk-taking to drive change initiatives forward. Students examine characteristics of historical successful and unsuccessful change initiatives. The major course project involves building a change initiative based upon seven process stages that students may implement in their own organization.
