Dysfunctional Divas with Stephen Crabtree

Comic actor Steven Jay Crabtree, who stars in Robert Camina’s new short musical Martini the Movie, brings the celebrated (and unscripted) one-man show that inspired the film to Fort Worth. In Dysfunctional Divas, Crabtree channels six crazy costumed characters: Perry LeVaughn, the way too perky and way too gay cabaret singer; Nee Naw, a multi-tasking granny and Southern spitfire; Morganna Avalon, the very high wiccan priestess and Buffy the Vampire Slayer expert; Stephanie Shapiro Stein, a bitter standup comedian who has a way with four letter words; Trayla Park, drama queen of lip-sync and teacher of 'Draggersize'; and, of course, Martini Glass, the ultimate Hollywood diva of a bygone era with a drink in one gloved hand and a cigarette in the other.
Preceded by the short film Martini the Movie
Dallas director Robert Camina delivers this hilarious original comedy about Martini Glass (Crabtree), a legendary actress of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Set in the present, the story follows Martini as she prepares to audition for the comeback role of a lifetime. Along the way, she dishes the Tinseltown dirt with a musical flourish! Camina and Crabtree will be in attendance. (Dir. Robert L. Camina, USA, 2009, 21 min.)
