The Art of Skateboarding
November 7
The Art of Skateboarding presents an evening of spectacular art, style, skateboarding, cocktails and fun. Proceeds from the event benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) & The Dallas Arts Community. Tickets may be purchased online, in advance for $25 at www.artofskateboarding.com, or at the door for $30; valet is complimentary.
This year’s The Art of Skateboarding event features celebrity emcees, the hilarious duo Chris Casey and The Captain, from FuelTV’s “The Captain and Casey Show.” South Side on Lamar will display 200 skateboards designed by celebrity artists, TSRHC patients, clothing designers, art students, and local artists. Throughout the evening guests can mingle and bid on their favorite artist’s skateboard and other auction items to the tunes of DJ Colby Logan. Guests will also enjoy complimentary cocktails and appetizers while being entertained by professional skateboarders performing live on the indoor half-pipe.
