Dallas Videofest 2009 - The Name of God
November 7
, 2009
103 min.
Josh Cleary is looking to come out from under the shadow of his father, the prominent Southern evangelist, H.G. Cleary. His pursuit of personal identity sets him in the middle of the Muslim/Christian divide when he ventures into a mosque to pray. The intolerance of the church's congregation on the issue of the pastor's rebellious offspring and the wariness of the Muslim community towards a lone white teen among them leave Josh Cleary utterly alone. When his mother is diagnosed with terminal cancer, she doubles her efforts to show 'her boys' that God goes by many different names, but the most important one is 'Love'.
