The Butler Did It

Extreme liberties are taken with all of the classic whodunits we know and love so well. Dame Agatha, Sir Arthur and all the others probably spin in their graves every time the lights come up on this play! (Well.. maybe not Dame Agatha, she's probably having a ripping good time!)

As the play opens you are presented with the oft-told tale of a dowdy society matron noted for her off-beat yet imaginative week-end parties. She is awaiting a group of mystery writers she has invited to her spooky country manor where they are to assume the persona of their fictional murder-mystery characters and engage in a wine infused evening of "Murder Most Foul!"

She arranges all sorts of scary surprises and provides cleaver clues and elusive evidence and a good time is being had by all until... yep, A REAL MURDER OCCURS and the guests suddenly realize they’re not just guests. They are the VICTIMS! They then set about using their "extensive knowledge" of crime fighting and investigative techniques to find the killer before they are ALL extinguished!

When this bunch of "expert" investigators and sleuths are not busy overlooking or destroying obvious clues and evidence, they are busy falling over one another with side-splitting results. And... in the best traditions of the genre, nothing is as it seems. Just when you think you know whodunit, there is another murder! Think "Clue" and "Ten Little Indians" meet Sherlock Holmes....
