Coppell Community Garden: Perennials for the WaterWise Garden
November 7
From clay soils to hot and dry summers, gardeners sometimes face unique growing situations in North Texas, but there are plenty of solutions to overcome these difficulties. “Perennials for the WaterWise Garden” will help you find these solutions and provide guidance on how to be “water wise” in your lawn and garden.
The seminar will provide knowledge of plants that love to grow in North Texas conditions and are clay and drought tolerant. The class will also educate attendees in WaterWise techniques. This class is free to attend and open to the public.
“Perennials for the WaterWise Garden” will be taught by Chrissy Cortez-Mathis, a passionate gardener and member of the Dallas County Master Gardener Association. Chrissy is a member of the DCMGA’s speaker’s bureau and educates audiences all over the Dallas-area. She resides in Richardson and hopes to one day become a full-time plant person and part-time working person!
