HOME? Art Exhibit
November 11
, 2009
Hal Samples Gallery is proud to announce the culmination of 15 years of work by Dallas artist Willie Baronet. Samples, formerly homeless (who has also used homeless themes in his art and photography), and Baronet, who has been buying and collecting cardboard homeless signs for the past decade and a half, have teamed up to draw attention to a cause they are both passionate about. The show is called HOME? and it features a collection of new works by Baronet, utilizing the cardboard signs and/or imagery that he has collected in various executions. A portion of the proceeds from the show will be donated to The Stewpot.
An opening reception will be November 11, 2009, from 6-10 p.m. The show will be available for viewing by appointment through the week of Thanksgiving.
