Comprised of Sergey Vashchenko on on balalaika and Vladimir Kaliazine on bayan, a type of Russian accordion, the folk music duo Kalinka presents a combination of unique instruments and repertoire that showcase Russian heritage. Kalinka has performed throughout Russia, Europe and the United States, and their recent CD was nominated for a Grammy Award as “Best Traditional World Music Album.”
