Meadows Percussion Ensemble

Led by director Jon D. Lee, the ensemble will perform seven works ranging from light and breezy to aggressive and intense. Featured will be the world premiere of G. Bradley Bodine’s Namaste: A Concerto for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble, an exciting mix of Asian sounds and Western instruments, featuring guest performer Drew Lang. The concert also includes the marimba quartet Vespertine Formations, depicting birds in flight, John Cage’s classic Double Music, and the zippy xylophone rag Triplets.
