The Art of Jaume Plensa

In celebration of the Meadows Museum’s acquisition of Jaume Plensa’s extraordinary sculpture Sho, Barbara Rose will discuss the artist’s career and oeuvre in Spain and the United States. This survey of his accomplishments invites us to consider the evolution of his work, his position in the contemporary Spanish art scene, and his unique contribution to international public sculpture. Discover why Sho is so special, and why Plensa is one of the most noted contemporary sculptors in Spain and the world. Lecture takes place in the Bob Smith Auditorium.
