By assuming another face-with costumes, masks, makeup, and gesture-the performer becomes someone or something else. This documentary investigates the strategies that we use to refashion identity through the work of contemporary artists, including Yinka Shonibare, MBE and Cindy Sherman, featured artists in the Museum’s current special exhibitions.
