Be among the first in Fort Worth to hear the exciting story and melodies of the 2010 Fort Worth Opera Festival world premiere opera, Before Night Falls. This in-depth conversation is back by popular demand, since last year's Overture with Jake Heggie, composer of Dead Man Walking, was a huge success.
On Nov. 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres while meeting composer and librettist Jorge Martín, who will give the exclusive details of his new opera. Also, don't miss baritone Wes Mason who will perform selections from Before Night Falls for the very first time in Fort Worth. During the 2010 Festival, Mason will portray Reinaldo Arenas, a Cuban poet who recalls his homeland as Fidel Castro takes power.
