Crape Myrtle Trails Founders’ Celebration
November 14
, 2009
The sixth annual Crape Myrtle Trails Founders' Celebration is set for Saturday November 14 at 6 p.m. at the TPC Clubhouse at Craig Ranch. Tickets are available now for the highly anticipated event.
This year's event is chock-full of lively entertainment and offers a sneak peek into what will be an exciting new addition to the Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney's beautification efforts.
After many years of dreaming, visioning and fundraising, the World Collection Park, which will consist of all known species of crape myrtles in the world, will become a reality as construction is slated to begin in early 2010 at the park site located within Craig Ranch.
Event attendees will be the first to see the plans and drawings depicting what the World Collection Park will look like. Attendees will also have the first opportunity to purchase honorary memorial items to be located in the park, including benches and walkways, during a live auction.
Holiday attire is encouraged and tickets are $95 each or $1,000 for a sponsored and recognized table of eight. Every dollar raised by the event goes back to the Crape Myrtle Trails Foundation and to beautifying McKinney.
The event will be topped off with a live performance by renowned performer Jon Christopher Davis.
A highlight of the annual event is the announcement of the 2010 Super Sponsors. Each of these individuals and companies has agreed to plant 200 crape myrtles in a publicly visible area of McKinney.
