An Evening of Spoken Word
November 19
Michael Guinn, Fort Worth National Poetry Slam champion, is relentless in his quest to provide quality poetry and spoken word events for poets and poetry lovers in the North Texas area. Unlike some people, Mike knows no geographical boundaries defying the stereotype so common in North Texas i.e. Dallas artists never ventures to Fort Worth and vice versa! For two years, Mike has hosted the 3rd Thursday monthly open mic at the SDCC, bringing with him artists from across North Texas and beyond. Always a laid back set, An Evening of Spoken Word lets its participants and audience enjoy themselves in the most comfortable and welcoming environment possible. Join us every 3rd Thursday from 7-9 pm for a relaxing evening of poetry and spoken word. It's free but donations are gladly accepted!
