Spanky
November 27
Spanky first went on stage in 1985, in Dallas, Texas. Just fourteen months later, he was voted the Funniest Man In Texas by edging out forty other comedians to win the Texas Laff Off, sponsored by the Improvisation Comedy Club. His unconventional delivery and unique material jump-started a comedy career that has yet to slow down. Only eight months later, Spanky made his national television debut on the Arts and Entertainment Network's Good Time Cafe. This was the first of many appearances on A&E, having since been a regular on Evening At The Improv, and, appeared on Comedy On The Road with John Byner. In 1987, PBS produced a documentary, ArtsEye, featuring Spanky, to illustrate a comic's life, both on and off stage. In 1988, he began his lasting relationship with the newly formed FOX Television Network, by performing on The Late Show, hosted by Joan Rivers. Over the years he has made multiple appearances on FOX, on both Comic Strip Live and Comedy Express. His other TV credits range from HBO, MTV and Comedy Central. This is a hilarious show you don't want to miss.
