Jazz in the Afternoon
November 29
, 2009
The annual jazz event that raises money for Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts and Lincoln High School will once again end our November offerings. This annual event has raised thousands of dollars for deserving students and serves as an informal "annual reunion" of both schools alumni. The brainchild of WIllie Mae and JD Coleman, Jazz in the Afternoon started out as an Evening of Jazz but switched to an afternoon event two years ago. Good, food, good music and good company are always the staples of Jazz in the Afternoon so plan on rounding out your Thanksgiving weekend with some great jazz featuring the Roger Boykin Trio.
