Camellias, Queen of Winter Flowers

Camellias are a gem in the winter garden offering bright green foliage and delicate blooms while most everything else sleeps. Bob Wilson, Manager of Nicholson Hardie, will give you insight into this hardy garden shrub including the best varieties for North Texas and how to identify them, basic growing knowledge, bloom boosting tips and much more. Only a few steadfast rules apply to give you a bounty of blossoms. Now is a perfect time for planting, so come find out how to add the Queen of the Winter Flowers to your garden.

$20 for members, $22 for non-members. Class fees include admission to the garden and parking. After class, participants are invited to stroll through the gardens and see spectacular floral displays featured throughout the year. Class sizes are limited, so advance registration is required. Reservations can be made online or by calling 214-515-6540. E-mail education@dallasarboretum.org with any questions. Check the Arboretum website for a full listing of the fall and winter classes.
