Breaking The Code Wine Dinner
October 9
Pappas Bros. Steakhouse's only seated tasting of the year will offer a guided tour of the theory and process of pairing food with wine. At this tasting, the guest will learn how to think, as well as taste like a professional! Styles from crisp, zingy Sauvignon Blanc to rich, buttery Chardonnay are recommended with seafood, but why? YOU can taste the answer. Is beef better with an uncomplicated red or a more complex wine? Discover for YOURSELF how a white wine can perfectly complement red meat. Pappas Bros. Steakhouse Wine Department will teach you the rules - and when and when not to - bend them.
This "Breaking The Code" tasting, on October 9 is $45 per person plus tax and gratuity and begins at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required. A $25 dining voucher will be given to each wine tasting guest for redemption in restaurant after the tasting or at Our Tribute to Robert Mondavi Wine Dinner on October 23.
The Pappas Bros. Wine Department will guide the guest through this informative wine tasting. Pappas Bros. Master Sommelier, Barbara Werley, along with Advanced Sommeliers Kim Wood and Jason Hisaw, and Certified Sommelier Heather Green, promise to prepare a wine tasting that's as informative as it is entertaining. Werley adds, "Bring your questions - this wine tasting is an opportunity for each guest to get answers to questions they have long wondered about."
Executive Chef James Johnson creates the hors d'oeuvres specifically paired with the "Breaking The Code" wine selections.
