Job Fair

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will hold an in-house recruiting event from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, Oct., 9 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. The event will be held in the red portable buildings at the northeast intersection of Harley Avenue and Montgomery Street in Fort Worth. Please look for signs on the day of the event for exact location; parking will be available on the same lot as the portable buildings.

With the grand opening of the new Museum scheduled for Nov. 20, there are 100 part-time positions open in various departments including: guest services, exhibitions, museum sales, security, custodial, maintenance, retail sales and in the planetarium. Full-time positions are also available, and a list of positions and job descriptions can be found on the Museum’s Web site, www.fortworthmuseum.org.

Applicants should come ready for an interview in professional business attire with a completed application, copies of their resume and a list of references. Applications can be completed in advance by visiting the Museum’s Web site or during the event. Part-time jobs are 20 hours per week and the minimum pay is $8 an hour. Part-time benefits include Omni Theater and exhibit passes and the opportunity for advancement within the Museum.

All Museum employees are required to take and pass a drug test and to successfully complete a criminal background check, both of which require a photo ID.
