Undercover: Great Plants for Shady Gardens
October 17
Do you have shady areas of your garden that you just don’t know how to address? Let Diana Harris, owner of Lifestyle Gardens and Texas Certified Landscape Professional, show you how to incorporate texture, contrast and color into your shade garden. Diana will discuss plant selection and combinations, design suggestions, as well as maintenance tips for your shade garden. Participants will receive detailed information on the most successful shade plants for North Texas. Perennials, annuals, trees and shrubs all play roles in creating a shady retreat in your garden; come find out what they can do for yours!
$20 for members, $22 for non-members. Class fees include admission to the garden and parking. After class, participants are invited to stroll through the gardens and see spectacular floral displays featured throughout the year. Class sizes are limited, so advance registration is required. Reservations can be made online or by calling 214-515-6540. E-mail education@dallasarboretum.org with any questions. Check the Arboretum website for a full listing of the fall and winter classes.
