Dallas Symphony Orchestra: Halloween Family Concert
October 25
, 2009
An ever-popular DSO tradition, this year's Halloween concert explores the magical world of animals. Saint-Saëns' beloved Carnival of the Animals will take center stage, accompanied by the whimsical poetry of Ogden Nash. Also featured will be The Town Musicians of Bremen, by Dallas composer Simon Sargon. This musical fable, based on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, follows the adventures of Desmond the Donkey, Clarence the Dog, Nick the Cat and Red the Rooster as they set out to make their way in the big world.
A family experience you will not want to miss! Pre-concert activities will include a costume contest for both the audience and the musicians.
