Orpheus opens its 15th season with a program of selections from the European masters of sacred music, including movements from Masses by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Swiss composer Frank Martin, two of the greatest early 20th century Mass settings. The program also features motets by Heinrich Schutz and Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. The virtuosic talents of Orpheus are showcased in a sparkling motet by J. S. Bach.
