VideoFest Presents: Guts and Glory 24hr Film Race
October 31
Eight teams will meet at the starting line in the Angelika Theater Cafe. At sundown 7 p.m., event organizers (Video Assn. of Dallas) will reveal a surprise theme, location, and prop contestants will need to incorporate into the film. They will then receive 100 feet of 16 mm reversal film (or color Super 8), and the race is on!
Each team will shoot shot after shot, every scene of their movie in order, in camera. They will then perform the music, sound effects and voices the next week live at VideoFest in the Angelika Theater, in front of a live audience. The catch? This will be the first time they've seen their finished film!
There's a $100 entry fee, and the films will screen at the VideoFest on Friday, Nov. 6.
