Spooky Festival at NorthPark

Join NorthPark Center, Children’s Medical Center, and Bookmarks for some spooky-themed Halloween fun! Free, family-friendly activities will include pumpkin decorating, face painting, balloon artists, photographs from QuickPix, and more. There will also be performances by the Spooky Strings Marionette Show, Mad Science, and a Musical Masquerade featuring the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Jim Allen. Children’s Medical Center will be on site teaching children about Halloween safety. Content is appropriate for children of all ages.
Spooky Strings Marionette Show
Performances at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The beloved Spooky Strings Marionette Show is back at NorthPark! This show is a favorite among children of all ages, featuring Frankenstein, Bones, characters from the Wizard of Oz and a surprise “appearance” from the invisible man. All content, including characters and soundtrack, is appropriate and not frightening for young children.
Mad Science
Performances at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Young audiences will be amazed with Mad Science’s spectacular, science-themed performance! Mad Science is the world’s leading science enrichment provider, delivering unique, hands-on science experiences for children that are as entertaining as they are educational.
Musical Masquerade
Performance at 2:15 p.m.
Bookmarks, a Dallas public library, presents a Musical Masquerade. Jamie Allen, director of education for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and his family will weave a magical story with music featuring an enchanting cast of characters and unusual instruments including the Vibraphone and Harpsichord.
