Oktoberfest Kick-Off
September 10
Kick off Oktoberfest season with Dennis and Gavin of Franconia Brewing who will bring a 200-year-old wooden cask of their freshly brewed Oktoberfest, which we will tap at around 7 p.m. We will have 25-oz glass steins imprinted with the Old Monk color logo available. Steins full of beer will be $12, and the stein is yours to keep. The cask is made of oak and is from the Dreyhorn brewery, where Dennis worked. Watch for a mallet, a wooden tap, and some Irish-German cooperation to get at the beer. We will also have grilled bratwurst on a bun with kraut and cheese served with German potato salad for $3.
