Second Lines by Charles Siler
September 19
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 19 7-9 pm
Second Lines is a tribute to Charles Siler’s experience living and working in the city of New Orleans. The show features paintings, original illustrations and post-Katrina reflections. The exhibition title refers to one of New Orleans’ signature cultural expressions, Second Lines, a spontaneous occurrence, which happens at many major events be it jazz funerals, spontaneous neighborhood processions, or Mardi Gras balls.
