Shakespeare in Song
March 27, 2010
As Shakespeare wrote in Twelfth Night, “If music be the food of love, play on!” The UT Dallas Chamber Singers present a choral concert set around the works of the “Bard of Avon.” Compositions chosen for this performance come from three sources: the authentic songs which accompany his plays; the solo songs of the British composer Roger Quilter and the choral arrangements of the songs of Shakespeare by Juilliard graduate Matthew Harris, who currently composes in New York City.
