Opening Group: The UNT Repertory Ensemble led by Chris McGuire will reprise their performance of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with a unique jazz arrangement that was originally presented at Sammons Jazz in 2005. The University of North Texas Repertory Ensemble will perform.
Second Set: Jampact with José Bowen – Dashing young jazz pianist by night/Dean of SMU Meadows School for the Arts by day, José Bowen makes his first appearance at Sammons Jazz. He will be joined by Kim Corbett on piano and Jamal Mohamed on drums with additional band members to be announced.

In collaboration with UpTown Jazz Dallas~International Jazz Festival 1st Annual Dallas Jazz Week April 1st - April 10th:
The evening features the best live jazz entertainment as well as free valet parking, complimentary coffee, wine, beer, soft drinks, and light appetizers. Seating is general admission. Regular ticket price is $35; Member price is $30. All performances are in Meadows Hall at the Sammons Center for the Arts, 3630 Harry Hines at Oak Lawn. All performances are on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; doors open at 7:00 p.m. Dress is casual and all major credit cards are accepted. Reservations are required.
