The Trains at NorthPark 2011

The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is on track for The Trains at NorthPark exhibit to roll from November 19, 2011 through January 1, 2012. Attracting more than 80,000 people annually, The Trains at NorthPark is the most elaborate toy holiday train exhibit in all of Texas, with locomotives whizzing on a journey across America, past Dallas’ skyline, New York City, San Francisco, New England and Washington, D.C. For the 13th year, the attraction will again be at NorthPark Center, located on Level Two between Barneys New York and Nordstrom.

New this season are the animated miniature features, some of which have been at past trains exhibits including the animated loader and dump truck, animated tow truck, animated forklift loader station, children swinging with the dog watching, and animated fire station with the firefighters moving.

The cost is $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children (ages 2 to 12) and senior citizens (65 and older). Children under 2 admitted free.

Hours and times are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The early closing dates are as follows: November 23, Thanksgiving Eve, at 6 p.m.; December 24, Christmas Eve, at 4 p.m.; December 31, New Year’s Eve, at 6 p.m.; January 1, New Year’s Day, at 6 p.m. The exhibit will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it will be open on New Year’s Day, the last day of the exhibit. Freddy's Frozen Custard

I asked what a Steakburger is and the friendly staff stated "it is a very high grade of lean beef that is hand-crafted" thin on the edges and thicker in the middle. This makes for carmelization on the edges and a juicy center. The Hawaiian is a must eat on the custard menu. I will definitely be bringing my friends!
