Charge through the Zoo on a 5K race or amble along on a 1K family fun run and raise money for rhino conservation. The 5K race starts at the Zoo entrance and concludes at Cat Green in ZooNorth. The family fun run begins at 8:15 a.m. and the course remains inside the Zoo. Family, friends, and spectators will celebrate at the end of the race with a party and awards ceremony. Race participants can enjoy the Zoo at a slower pace the rest of the day. When registration begins until the end of the race, the Dallas Zoo’s Green Team and Luke’s Locker will take your donations of used tennis shoes to donate to the needy or send for recycling.
