Strip: The Dallas Webcomics Expo

“STRIP: The Dallas Webcomics Expo” is a convention that started out as “DWEX: The Dallas Webcomics Expo” in 2009 by web comic artists/creators Jonathan Caustrita, Michael Moreno, and Thomas Overbeck. It's purpose: To celebrate webcomics and their fans. Now run by Bobby Blakey, Jonathan Caustrita, Michael Moreno, it is the same con with a new name.
Visitors can enjoy a day of webcomics and sci-fi/fantasy geekery such as movies, books and cosplay. Activities at STRIP 2012 include: Q&A panels with the artists, featured trivia and hosted games, a children’s area featuring a cartoon drawing station and video gaming center, and a LIVE ART SHOW for charity with proceeds going to The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
$5 in advance, $7 at the door, free for kids 7 and under.
