Project Fashion Camp 2012
August 10, 2012
Project Fashion Camp is unlike any other fashion camp you have ever experienced. Brought to you by The Pro Artist Group, the camp provides students ages 13 and over a weeklong professional networking and hands-on learning experience. Proceeds from Project Fashion Camp will go to the American Cancer Society.
The working professionals who will mentor the students of Project Fashion Camp welcomes all who have a passion and yearning to start a career in the fashion industry. Project Fashion Camp will have several areas of study: Fashion Styling and Design, Hair and Make Up Styling, Fashion Photography and Model Boot Camp. In addition to their studies, students will begin building their professional portfolio; each morning, they will have a new guest speaker who will discuss their experiences in the fashion industry and network with the students.
On the last day (Friday) of each weeklong camp, students will be able to show off what they have learned at Project Fashion Camp when they present a fashion show to their friends and family.
In 2009, The Pro Artist Group came together when this group of fashion artists recognized a need to teach young, up-and-coming fashion artists about the successes needed to flourish in the fashion industry. In addition, The Pro Artist Group felt a responsibility to give back to the Dallas community. The Pro Artist Group is the only organization in Dallas to show the true practicum of how the fashion world works in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, London and elsewhere. The group takes pride in their annual fashion camps and philanthropic fashion shows featuring up-and-coming fashion designers paired with a philanthropic cause.
